Plant Controller

Our client is a world leader in production and sales of professional construction elements

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Statutory and management accounts for the business
  • Ensures the accuracy of the standard costing
  • Review and Control of the factory processes as they relate to receiving,consumption and dispatch of products, including third party products.
  • Budgets, forecast, stat pack, balance sheet management, working capital and cash metrics for the Business unit.
  • Working with the Divisional data protection clerk and the MD to ensure that the Business unit is ready for compliance with the new GDPR rules in the EU.
  • Statutory taxes for the Business unit
  • Group reporting in line with group deadlines and policies for the local results
  • Responsible for working with external Auditors and Tax advisors to ensure the unit is compliance and up to date with all legislation
  • Responsible to work with the factory manager to ensure a culture of continual process improvement is ingrained in the culture of the factory.
  • Ensuring the business unit keeps up to date with the Divisional and Group requirements
  • Ensure adherence to the group accounting, treasury, tax and IT manuals and policies
  • Experience in Navision is essential
  • Control of the Payroll department as it relates to the payment of pay and payroll taxes / specifically excludes HR duties.
  • Work with the MD and external lawyers to set HR and work protocols as required under local law and to ensure compliance with Group policies.
  • Ensure regular checking and training in the area of Anti-bribery and corruption, Phishing and compliance.
  • Work with external lawyers from time to time to ensure the business recovers any overdue and outstanding monies.
  • Working with the MD and Factory manager as required
  • Managing the local finance team including the conducting of annual appraisals
  • Work on acquisitions and other projects as required from time to time.
  • Work across the different business units to acquire knowledge on systems and processes changes and improvements.
  • Agreement to comply with the group code of conduct and the company’s confidentiality rules.
  • Any other tasks as requested by the MD or Divisional FD.

Dynamics AX 2009 Technical & Functional Analyst

Our client is a world leader in production and sales of professional construction elements

The ERP Analyst core responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Being a Subject Matter expert on the existing ERP Systems (Dynamics AX09)
  • Managing both run and change on the ERP System
  • 1st Level Support  – Respond and resolve help desk request related to the ERP system and other applications as per the Service Catalogue
  • 2nd Level – Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests
  • 3rd Level – Where certain domain knowledge is available – resolve run and change requests and issues
  • Third party vendor relationship management and escalation
  • Creation, update and closure of Tickets for run and change related to ERP and associated applications the person is responsible for

The role requires technical acumen, a high level of business analysis, a deep understanding of the business, customer facing skills and will have significant input into future strategic decisions advising the Divisional Head of IT.

The role requires adherence to the IT Manual and ensure its enforcement and compliance where applicable – notably Project Management, Change Control and User access management.

Essential Qualifications, Training and Experience:

  • An appropriate IT qualification e.g. BSc in IT related field
  • Expert ERP knowledge

  • A proven track record implementing ERP

  • A good understanding of AX2009 at both a functional and technical level

Powder Coating Production Specialist

Reporting to: Plant Manager

Key responsibilities of the role:
 Develop our powder coating process to be capable of consistently delivering high volume production on time in full to the right quality standard.
 Implement a right first time approach with zero tolerance to all customer perceived warranty issues.
 Monitor and manage manufacturing variances daily, weekly and monthly. Focus on timely confirmations, stock management, labour management, Bom accuracy and cost out projects.
 Train, coach and motivate the team to maximise production performance focusing on quality, scrap, line speed, utilisation and labour management.
 Ensure the team have the resources to run the line and remove all potential roadblocks that may prevent them from doing their job.
 Continually work on cost reduction and process improvement projects.
 Report accurately on line performance against agreed KPI’s.
 Ensure all SOP’s and risk assessments are complied with.
 Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
 Constantly monitor the line performance by:
 Walking the line
 Verifying that equipment is operating within the specified limits
 Verifying that checks are being carried out
 Verifying that the product quality is in tolerance.

Key skills and experience:
 Minimum 5 year experience in managing a high volume powder coating production facility with a proven track record of success.
 Relevant technical and or management third level qualification.
 Proven ability to implement continuous improvement and cost out projects.
 Highly motivated and results orientated and able to express and communicate a vision and set goals for individuals to aspire to.
 Above all the person needs to demonstrate leadership, be highly visible to all employees and be able to motivate and manage people with varying skill levels and relish the challenge of working in a rapidly growing and demanding manufacturing environment.
 As with most continuous 24-hour operations the individual should be aware that they could be called upon, out of normal hours, to attend site and provide support and guidance in the event of problems.
