The Opportunity
We’re looking for a hands-on Chemical Engineer with polymer chemistry expertise to lead manufacturing operations at a well-established, international polymer manufacturing company. Based at our new Oklahoma facility, you’ll have oversight across multiple US plants and international sites.
This is a rare opportunity to shape a new manufacturing facility from the ground up — commissioning plant and equipment, building a team, and establishing the processes that will drive production for years to come. If you thrive on variety, problem-solving, and making things happen on the plant floor, this role will excite you.
What You’ll Do
This isn’t a desk job. You’ll split your time between the plant floor and the office, leading a diverse set of responsibilities:
Plant Operations & Engineering
•Oversee the installation and commissioning of a new manufacturing facility in Oklahoma, from greenfield to full production.
•Lead planned maintenance activities to maximise plant availability and uptime.
•Manage logistics, warehousing, and supply chain activities across site operations.
•Troubleshoot live production issues with urgency and sound technical judgement.
Process & Product Development
•Develop, optimise, and scale manufacturing processes — from lab formulation to full production.
•Test, evaluate, and select raw materials to meet product specifications and cost targets.
•Drive new product development and continuous improvement initiatives across the portfolio.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Maintain and improve quality standards across all manufacturing operations.
•Champion Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management and cultivate a safety-first culture.
•Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks including TSCA, REACH, and ISO standards.
People & Leadership
•Recruit, train, and develop a close-knit plant team, building capability from the ground up.
•Communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders, customers, and senior leadership.
•Foster a collaborative, fair, and high-performance team culture.
Location Oklahoma, USA
Travel Multi-site across US & international
