The role:
o Your role will involve monitoring compliance, conducting risk assessments, providing training and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
o In this position you report directly to the group COO

Key responsibilities:
o Development of a comprehensive OHS concept in line with international standards, procedures and measures to reduce occupational safety risks and to prevent accidents and occupational diseases, ensuring rapid implementation
o Training and promoting work safety standards across the organisation
o Auditing of production plants for compliance with specifications and identification of potential for improvement
o Ensuring legal conformity of measures taken for occupational safety and health protection
o Accident analysis and ensuring the implementation of adequate corrective measures
o Development, implementation and tracking of performance indicators
o Acting as contact person for business units, all operational and administrative sites and HSE officers in matters of legal compliance
o Ensuring the local HSE officers are empowered to become agents of change when implementing and developing systems and standards
o Preparation and implementation of certification ISO 45001 in accordance with business requirements
o Team leadership of the group-wide occupational safety team across all factories
o Ensuring full compliance with all PPE needs are never compromised with continuous assessment and investments in PPE as technology and system evolve.

R&R:
• Understand the project and contract quality and technical requirements to ensure they are communicated to

To support the engineering requirements through managing & liaising with Key Project Stakeholders (Client design team, Main contractor, Suppliers, Sub-contractors, etc).
• Information reporting will be an essential activity to ensure activity targets/deadlines are met to support the project team. There will be an Engineering Task Log generated and managed by the Engineering Lead
• Familiarisation of Design/IFC specifications and drawings to fully understand the scope of the Project works. • Management of the material procurement utilising Engineering Materials Report (EMR) by producing material take offs identifying the lead in periods and field need rates

• Management of Sub-contractors and ensuring adequate information flow to ensure works progress in line with the Project Schedule and Weekly Meeting logged.

Validation of materials/assets within the model are also to be verified for construction. Change management is a critical process to be understood and controlled.
• You will be responsible to support and coach all junior engineers assigned to the project team their development is crucial to our organisation and industry.
• There may be a requirement to attend project meetings or “White Board Activity Planning sessions. This will depend on the needs of the project and your team manager.
